Match their formation

Look at how they line up, then use this.

SpreadTwo receivers on each side, one player next to the QB.

Anything. Cover 2 is the default.

TripsThree receivers on one side.

Zone: the middles slide one step toward the three (see it). Man: count from the sideline in. Corners take #1, middles #2, the trips-side safety #3 (see it).

EmptyNobody next to the QB. Everyone is split out.

Same as trips. The safety who would've covered the back takes the extra receiver.

BunchReceivers lined up close together, almost touching.

Zone only (Cover 2 or Cover 3). In man, they'll run us into each other.

MotionA player running sideways before the snap.

Zone: yell "Motion!" and slide with it. Man: go with your player.

Deep-throwing QBTheir QB has hit a long one, or clearly can.

Cover 3 or Prevent. No Blitz.
