When to call it

On 3rd or 4th down, or when their QB holds the ball too long.

Tap a player to see just their job on the field.

• RRusher — Rush, right sideLine up where the ref allows rushers. At the snap, go at the QB's right side with your hands up. Flag only, no contact.
• LSLeft safety — Rush, left sideLine up at the rush line too. At the snap, go at the QB's left side. Together with R, trap the QB in the middle.
• LCLeft corner — Their outside leftCover the outside receiver on the left. Give a cushion; the throw will come fast.
• LMLeft middle — Their inside leftCover the inside receiver on the left. Stay on their inside shoulder.
• RMRight middle — Their inside rightCover the inside receiver on the right. Stay on their inside shoulder.
• RCRight corner — Their outside rightCover the outside receiver on the right. Give a cushion; the throw will come fast.
• RSRight safety — Their backCover the player next to the QB. Wherever they go, you go.

Rules

• Nobody covers their center. The rush has to get there before the QB finds them.
• If the center runs out for a pass, the nearest middle defender yells "Center!" and jumps them.
• No deep help. Nobody gets beat deep.

Keys to making it work

• Rushers: hands up. A batted ball is as good as a sack.
• Don't call it twice in a row. It works because it's a surprise.
