When to call it

After Panther has worked once or twice and the defense is flying to stop it.

• QBQuarterback — PasserStart the motion like Panther, fake the handoff to H for real, then look up the left side for A.
• HFlex — The fakeSame motion as Panther. Fake taking the ball, arms folded over your belly, then keep running to the left flat like you have it.
• AInside left — Fake screen, then go, first readStep outside like you're screening for Panther, then take off straight up the field.
• XOutside left — Go, second readRun straight at your defender and past them, same as Panther.
• CCenter — Safety valveStep left like you're screening for Panther, then turn around at 4 yards.
• YInside right — Dig, third readRun 10 yards, then cut across to the left.
• ZOutside right — Clear outRun a go route and take your defender deep.

Keys to making it work

• Everyone does exactly what they do on Panther for the first second. That's the whole trick.
