When to call it

Inside the 5, and for the 1-point try.

• QBQuarterback — PasserThrow it high and toward the back right corner, where only Z can get it. If Z is covered on top, Y on the slant.
• ZOutside right — Fade, first readTake an outside release and run for the back right corner. Look up early, go get it at the highest point.
• YInside right — Slant, second readTwo steps, then slant hard into the middle of the end zone.
• HFlex — Flat, rightSprint to the right flat and turn around at the goal line.
• CCenter — Safety valveSnap, take one step into the rusher's path (hands at your sides), then pop out to 4 yards and turn around.
• XOutside left — Slant, leftTwo steps, then slant into the end zone.
• AInside left — Flat, leftPush 2 yards, then sprint flat to the left sideline.

QB reads

1. 1Z in the corner.
2. 2Y on the slant.
3. 3H in the flat.

Keys to making it work

• QB: miss high or out of bounds, never short. A short fade gets intercepted.
• Z: only one foot needs to be in bounds.
